Modwise 2 stage fan issue

Hi All
2 stage fan has been working a treat up to now but for some reason the 1st half speed fan is now continuously on irrespective of how low a temp the half speed dial is turned, resulting in a car that is unable to reach anywhere near operating temp.. frustrating in the least. Any ideas what may be causing the problem?

Either the switch is US or the thermostat it uses is US.

Don't have one myself but most likely one or the other I'd have thought.

yep makes sense, looks like I might need to get the control box replaced or something.
