Lee Noble and Mclaren F1 involvement?

I always thought Lee had something to do with the F1 suspension but others seem to say no (see thread). Anyone care to provide a correction or comments about our tea-boy?

The Ultima chassis was used by McLaren as a mule. That's it AFAIK.

I don't think "still using" is appropriate; the original Ultima mules for the F1 were crushed when finished-with.

I was under the impression it was used on the original F1 as an engine test bed rather than for dynamics etc so Lee's setup skills would presumably have been irrelevant.
