No doubt this has been covered before, so apologies.

I want to remove the sill covers on my car to apply some wax protection to the metalwork beneath. Could anyone please advise what sort of retaining clips hold the covers on, and how many? I presume they will be breakable plastic so I should order replacements before I do the job.

Many thanks.

R8 - if you're talking about the sill 'plates' (Vauxhall/Holden/HSV badge in the middle) then they are actually thin ally & stuck on with quite strong adhesive patches, 3 or 4 from memory!

Hairdryer & some dental floss should do the trick!!

No, I'm referring to the body-coloured 'extensions' that run externally along the length of the sill. Thanks anyway!

There are screw at each end which you need to take out, pop clips underneath which you pull out by pushing in first from memory, the only part thats bonded with rubber type glue is the rear section below the rear side windows and this peals off reasonably easy. There is a link somewhere so Im sure someone will add a link.
