Rioting on British Streets This Summer....
Discussion
The head of the Met Police has predicted that this summer, the British public may rise up and riot in mass demonstrations against the financial downturn, unemployment etc.... Apparently dark forces of the rent-a-mob crowd are gathering and plotting.
My question is, what good would it do? Apart from destroying a lot of property, and wasting a lot of police time, what's the point? It's hardly as if the powers that be are unaware there is a crisis.
Would a healthy dose of rioting turn the situation around??

The words of the Clash spring to mind....
"White riot - I wanna riot
White riot - a riot of my own
White riot - I wanna riot
White riot - a riot of my own
Black people gotta lot a problems
But they don't mind throwing a brick
White people go to school
Where they teach you how to be thick
An' everybody's doing
Just what they're told to
An' nobody wants
To go to jail!
All the powers in the hands
Of people rich enough to buy it
While we walk the street
Too chicken to even try it
Everybody's doing
Just what they're told to
Nobody wants
To go to jail!
Are you taking over
Or are you taking orders?
Are you going backwards
Or are you going forwards?"
Personally, they can trash London all they like....
This government has used up all the Vaz, now it's time for them to bend over and take it... with no Vaz!
Of course, to use the words of another Clash song... "They fought the law and law won..."

Hmmm lets see??
Police time wasted? Well perhaps if they stopped closing roads for a whole day in order to investigate a motorway crash that costs 20bn and results in a 30 quid fine maybe they would have a bit more time to waste catching crims. I thing civil order was the reason for the invention of the peelers in the first place. Although the brief seems to have changed to drinking tea a lot and generally pissing the public off and spending a lot of time fighting with the state funded underclass.
Riots are great cos there is loads of work for builders afterwards. Also the gummint are so thick they need a few of them to get a good kicking to make them wake up and realise the people are pissed off with the noughties legacy. The historians will call this time, "the silliness" in reflection of all the idiotic b
ks we have had to put up with since that pillock blair came to power. Riot? It should be full scale civil insurrection.

Am I alone in thinking this BBC article might help these idiots' cause by allowing more idiots hear about their idea for mass riots?
Agreed, I think the problem is the bank share prices went up today so the Beeb had no news. Instead they had to create something from nothing to keep us all a bit scared. Last time bank shares went up they reported MMGW would be worse than expeected. Then the shares went up again the next day and the headline was the some other scientist think it'll be worse than the previous man who thought it would be worse than expected. So in conclusion, its all the banks' fault.

Before posting the link above I looked on news.bbc.co.uk to find the link. Which I failed in doing, so found it in my browser history instead. So seems like the BBC may be thinking similar.Gassing Station | The Pie & Piston Archive | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
