I have 80 year old parquet flooring in my living room that was damaged by the previous home owners attempt to sand and restore it. As a result it ideally needs to come up and be relayed. I was contemplating getting rid of the radiators in that room and put the heating under the floor while it was up, but a few people have said that under floor heating and parquet are not a good combination. Is this still the case with modern heating systems? Also, the floor is old and dry so won't shrink again by any significant amount.

Any advice from people in the know would be greatly appreciated before I attempt to get any quotes.
