In what way? You remove your old lights, have those fitted and painted and fit some hella lights into them!
Then they look like this...
Then fill in the gaps around the edges for an even nicer job! Then they look like this...

Seriously though, I nearly bought it off Bruce before the mods when I was looking for one, great looking colour for a Griffith with a black interior (essential for me), unique and currently for sale again isn't it ?
I don't like the pepper pot rear lights, tinkering with a design to extend the appeal never works, it was a half-hearted effort to bring the Griffith in line with the Tuscan and they look like piss-holes in the snow to me, always will
The original design complements the scalloped leading edge of the door opening which became an iconic TVR design statement. Yes I know they are upside-down Cavalier units but there is a certain synchronicity in that which is characteristically TVR and the Griffith is in my opinion all the better for it.

Each to their own. I'm indifferent personally, however I do not think TVR were ever trying to make them look like a Tuscan half heartedly or not.

The other modifications on the design are all beneficial as far as I am concerned. Getting rid of the control panel in front of the gear lever, simplifying the controls as well, 7" headlights, Cerberra seats and 16" wheels all round are improvements on the original.
Thinking about it, I think I prefer the Max Pax holders actually . .

Nice Car

Just for the pedants amongst you, they are of course SE lights not LE. Most manufacturers designate cars as LE for Limited Edition or SE for Special Equipment, but for some reason TVR gave the last 100 Griffs an SE, which in this case stands for Special Edition.
Go figure. It could be worse - they could have designated it LE for Limited Equipment!
It's the little idiosyncrasies for which we love our TVRs!

You are of course quite right. I'm usually the first person to educate people that a 500LE is the new (failed) MGTF thing, and the last 100 Griffs are indeed 500SE's.
