After pondering at loads of pictures, and now reading/seeing loads of reviews on the new Focus RS, has there been anymore news on an RS Fiesta?

I Google'd the subject and this was the best I could find...

http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/autoexpressnews/...

This was written not far off of a year ago (and in AutoExpress too) well before the Mk7 was even launched, so the information couldn't have been that accurate confused

Has there been anymore news that I have missed? As long as it has a turbocharged engine (for lift off pops and bangs biggrin) with more than 180bhp and its available in Ultimate Green, I will pull out all of the stops to get hold of one biggrin (Providing I can afford on that is redface)

Think Ford scrapped the idea of an RS fiesta due to it being so small, and just concentrated on the Focus RS

i really dont get where this mcds carpark talk comes from. i only ever see clapped out old bangers or 205`s, golf gti`s, old jap cars etc in mcds carparks at night (the very few times a year i get the late night munchies) and not often nice new sporty cars.

I believe the reason they didn't do it, is because it wouldn't have sold well. The story I heard from someone at Ford was that it was put out to the dealers to see if there was enough interest, and short of the UK, Europe were just not interested, so it was canned frown

Shame really, because it was an awesome looking car frown

There is not even an ST Fiesta at the moment.

Was a brand new Zetec S in our car park at work today 3 door, white, with the bodykit, looked rather nice. A bit like a smaller Focus ST.

I like the current Zetec S, and drove one a couple of weeks ago and I think it is a better sorted car than the current MINI Cooper - Same engine, but better characteristics, better balanced, and easier to live with from day to day.

That chassis could take far more than 120bhp though, as good as it was!! There will be some aftermarket tuning coming along surely, but thats not the same as a factory edition!

Apartently Mountune do tuning for the Fiesta.
