After a layoff of, ahem, several years and a gentle few mtb runs on my old Orange, it's time for some proper calorie burning.

So, if you see a smoky maroon 653 Harry Quinn with a mix of retro 8 speed Ultegra/105, 12 spoke Shamals, and a ridiculously low bar to seat relationship positively burning up the hills.... get out of my dream!

On the other hand, if you spot me wobbling round the lanes of Northants, slowly getting faster, say 'hi' smile

Yes, I'll own up to being another 'born again (pedal powered) biker'.

I literally dusted off my trusty '92 vintage Specialized Rockhopper last month, gave it a cursory service and hit the hills. I'm teetering on the brink of being at the limit of what an old non-suspension bight can (comfortably) do with a ** year old pilot and not wanting to blow a huge wedge of money on some fancy full-suspension job only to drop the biking, yet again.
