Muddy paw prints on the bonnet

Does anybody have any ingenious solutions to keeping furry felines from walking across a car and leaving a trail of paw prints?
In some ares where its been jumping off the car you can see where the front paws have slid, with grit on them, this doesn't bode well for the paint, or the cat.

Shooting/poisoning/running over don't count as solutions.

Best Idea so far, would involve a fair amount of pepper though!

Not sure if this would work, they're not interested in the wheels. Also, all that acidic citrus might ruin the lacquer!

An ultrasonic repeller works ok too, or as daft as it sounds, leave a few cloves of garlic around the car, they won't go near it again

Garlic works as does a supersoaker with lemon juice. Pepper is fine but you have to put down loads over a few weeks to get a similar effect to cold water n lemon juice!

Cats are a real pain in the arse for me too, they are always leaving dirty paw prints on my car the only satisfaction I have is when I see the horrible things sitting on my car I let my two labradors out and watch the felines run for their lives, sad I know but very rewarding!

I bought a Wolf cover for the Vette which sits on the drive, the cats loved it and had a good scratch of the corners. So I then got a cheaper car cover to cover the expensive car cover which they don't scratch. Damned cats!

Catch the furry felines and shave them. The moggies will then be too embarrassed to be seen outside.

someone posted a video of some chap pouring a bucket of water onto a cat on a car from a great height - One of THE funniest short clips I have seen in a long while.

Hopefully someone will remember it and post it up.

just be thankful they weren't grubby arse prints and skid marks.
