Morning

my F550 is due an annual service. I live in Central London. Can anyone strongly recommend a particular garage within or just outside the M25? Presumably the choivce is Maranello, Verdi, DK Engineering or Joe Macari?

Thoughts much appreciated as well as ideas on basic cost for annual service.

Joe Macari have been very active marketing their new facility - anyone used it yet?

I realise the sensitivity of posting negative comments in public so if you have something to relay, I am happy for you to email me instead.

Many thanks!

I've had experience with Joe Macari and Maranello's.......that's why it's worth looking that little bit further out and taking your car to www.grimaldiengineering.co.uk ! They also know 550's very well. No affiliation, just a VERY happy customer.

some places do fixed priced servicing, so may be worth ringing round?

My 550 is in with Verdi's right now - and I expect it will come back better than it went in - as ever!

I recently had a Larini exhaust fitted to my 575 (v.happy) by Autoficcina (used to be Racing Technologies)who are based about 25mins away in Chessington. I was impressed by the price, the facilities and the attitude of Elias, the owner. You can wait in the lounge or use the internet and have a coffee - far better than main delear and its a small family run outfit so you are dealing with the monkey, not the organ grinder (no offence Elias wink ).
I'll be using them for all servicing in future.

You could also try Foskers near Brands Hatch and minutes from the M25. They will offer to drop and collect you from the station. I think they will also offer to collect the car from you as well!?

Gents
many thanks for the ideas and recommendations here (and by email)
interesting that there are no votes for any of the players inside of the M25 (except Verdi)
any other strong views out there?
I only bought my 550 last summer - and it's my first ferrari - so this is the first time I'm dealing with the joys of ferrari servicing
cheers

Give Grimaldi a call and see how pleasant and knowledgable they are, then decide (and they know 550's very well), 01787 474645. smile

(Do I sound like a Grimaldi fanboi?!) thumbup

Not sure where you are based but I got to Autoficcina in 25 minutes from Kensington High Street - they also do a pick up service as well. I should say that I haven't used some of the other highly rated firms on here, Verdi and Grimaldi etc but can vouch for Autoficcina. Good luck anyway - you don't have the silver one with red interior parked on Gloucester Road by chance?

I really would not use a main dealer for a car that has been out of production for a few years - I used Verdi for some work last year and was very pleased although not cheap..but you get what you pay for

I have heard lots of good things about Grimaldi engineering and they have looked after a friend's 550 at a lot cheaper cost than a main dealer
