day trip to london...

i hate the place, should burn for all i care. but, the missus birthday coming up soon and she wants a day trip to london. it will be on a wednesday so few kids to worry about thankfully.

she has expressed interest in the imperial war museum(i think for me). london dungeons. and maybe tower bridge.

what else is worth seeing? i've suggested the natural history museum.

Forget the Dungeon. Load of overpriced tourist tat and full of annoying kids.
Tower of London is well worth it.
Natural History Museum is great, and the V&A is just next door.

Dungeon is rubbish unless you have kids in tow.

Swerve the Imperial War Museum (it takes a good half day to get around properly) and go to the Cabinet War Rooms instead.

Get on the Thames Clipper (boat) at Embankment and head to Greenwich to the Observatory.

If you're going to Tower Bridge, check out the London Eye. HMS Belfast is docked there too.

Don't bother with the nearby London Aquarium, it's much too expensive and a disappointment IMO.
