Not really news though is it? Feel sorry for the girl, but am totally not interested in this being made a national spectacle. I suggest she goes somewhere quiet with her family and tries to die with some dignity.

I don't understand why people follow other people so closely, all this celebrity fans, ok magazines is all utter rubbish. Why not just concentrate on your own life and close people around you. Why the neseccity to start idolising other people. /rant

Working with people with cancer on a daily basis I find her had to stomach, everything appears exagerated for the camera. Fair enough I suppose it earns her more money for her kids.

The real question is,

Why are women now in larger amounts going to be screened, Its only been since jade goody came out about this.

Jady Goody a role model, is the world really that fooked.

Quote from my friend, terrible but got a smirk from me.

"Isn't it ironic: jade goody's head looks like an egg, and it'll be in a box this Easter."

if she makes money on this then good on her to give her kids something, although it is a little sad that she is doing it rather than taking her family on a massive holiday to celebrate her life and dying in peace.

Its good that she has shown what happens if someone ignore an abnormal smear test and what can happen and i hope other females take note of this and do not do what she did and stick their head in the sand.

But I have a feeling that Jack is not the person to be in charge of everything and the kids will lose out to his partying and it should go to Jeff and he should be allowed to take the reins but i can respect him taking a back place and letting her get on with it in her last days, but if Jack fks everything up, the media is going to take him to the cleaners...

I don't think it's a case of her being a role model, I think it's more her being used as a warning, everyone likes to think that they'll never get cancer and that it'll happen to someone else, but the truth is that the odds are higher than most people think.

And it's worse with cancers such as prostate, ovarian or cancer of the uterus, because often they don't display any "symptoms" until it is in a much later stage. There is no little lump that you can feel or anything like that, and so getting yourself checked regularly is the only thing you can do to get it detected and treated early, THAT is the truth that has finally hit home to thousands of women.

Now we just need a famous footballer with prostate cancer and you blokes will be queuing up for a finger up the bum.

Its just unnecessary in my opinion, it warrants one article to say "Jade has cancer, make sure you get a smear test done girls" and then a second article to say "Sad new, Jade passed away today". I do not want a blow by blow account of every miserable second of her existence.

don't wish this predicament on her or anyone, especially given age and kids but....

society gets the "celebs" it deserves, she made a fortune from being talentless and stupid on a programme for stupid viewers

I thought she was a hideous caricature of everything that is wrong with our country, my view has not changed since the sad news due to PC bks

i have more sympathy for her endless whoring to the press (make money for kids) but she was doing that before her illness, when I found it depressing.

these types of tragedy happen to many people of same age / dependents, most more deserving of the money IMVHO

hope her kids are looked after and that some good comes of it (heightened awareness of smears - could not believe one person on here was not getting on tested coz she was nervous, thought it might hurt (IIRC something similar))

It must be terrible for cancer though, having to live with Jade Goody.

She should either go die with at least a bit of dignity, or raise some cash/awareness for cancer related charities and organisations. I wouldnt of thought for a second any of the kids she's leaving would go hungry, but i know for a fact if it was someone in my family with cancer they'd be as comfortable as possible, and i'd give my every last penny to prolong their life and cater for their needs.

I'd like to think that if I was a Z-list non celeb in the tabloids all the time, and I developed a terminal illness, that I would value my privacy and cherish all the time I had left by ducking out of the limelight and spending as much quality time with my family as possible.

As for leaving money for her kids, they could always sell her straighteners on ebay?

So it's not news and you're like, totally not interested. Yet you clicked on the thread and subsequently posted. People like you are weird.

Yet its not weird for you to post on my lack of interest? I'd suggest that perhaps we are both as bored as each other, at least I'm sat at work. I posted because it pisses me off having to read all about her tale of woe in every tabloid, every day. By the way, are you American? Its just that you have a very weird style of, like, posting. Dude.

My interest was in the way people were posting on this type of thread. I find it interesting that people will claim they don't care about something then click on the topic and then reply. It defies logic.

Does it really need explaining that I posted in that style because of your use of the word 'totally' in style of an American teenage girl?

I'm a bit surprised this topic didn't come up sooner... maybe it did....

In my mind she is nothing more than a loud mouthed racist, ill educated scum.

It really is a sign of the times that she is getting so much press.

fk her, she didn't give a sh!t until she got poorly, simply sat there milking a stupid celebrity society.

Personally I couldn't give a fvck, there's plenty of more deserving people dieing and going through what she is suffering, whoop-de-fvcking-do.

The world will be a better place without this stupid ignorant fool.
