Canon 500mm f4l is usm

Anybody use one if so thoughts on quality of images and anybody know of 1 for sale, second hand that is lookin to get one hopefuly before Le Mans.

I've used one in the past and prefer it to the bigger 600F4. The 600 is too long for me to wrap my fingers inside the hood to stablise it when on a monopod.

image quality wise, hard to fault.

However a 400f2.8 & 1.4 extender (560mmF4) is a really good combo and of course is absolutely stunning when used without the extender
