Reading the Griffith Story, the other day and noticed quite a few pictures of the very first Griffith - F reg. Got me thinking..... Question. Is it still 'alive' or has it gone to the great scrap-yard in the sky? I refer to the one with V8S/ S3 interior and dashboard, door handles and outside chrome petrol cap. Was there only one of it's kind or were more made.? Just interested to know.....

Paul,

Unfortunately, in the greatest traditions of TVR, it got chopped up and scrapped!!! frown

I've still got the next one built after that , at the moment, although she now has a new owner and will be leaving for her new life in the south of France very soon weeping

Yes it's gone I'm afraid but in this case it had to be to comply with the regulations as it was a pre-type approval prototype rather just being cut up on a whim as some have been. frown

Paul,
I think the first customer car is the pale yellow one owned, I think still, by Tweety -it's been to the Growl a couple of times. I know it's been for sale for a while and can't understand why. No I'm not buying another one.

I knew TVR had used Triumph engines.

But not Pratt (& Whitney), now that really would be something.

Gentlemen, thank you!
What a shame TVR gave it the 'chop.' It would of been good to see a one off Griff at the Griff Growl with left overs from the S design, certainly different!
