Jack Straws Hotmail account & the Nigerians
Discussion
Thought this was interesting..BUT..why a Hotmail account for 'Official Government businness??
Don't they have those .gov addresses

Mr Straw has confirmed the e-mails had been sent to a "significant number of people" in his address book but he said there were no security issues as it was his Blackburn e-mail address rather than his ministerial account that was targeted.
The scam came to light on Thursday when Mr Straw's office received an e-mail saying its account would be suspended unless a reply was sent.
But when a member of staff replied, they were blocked out of the account
I think something odd is going on here, has Jacko has been caught out by the Nigerian fiddlers??
Is his drug dealer son involved??

I think this is just a non-story. There doesn't appear to be any significant evidence that his **actual** email account was used, just that the emails appeared to come from him. That's not hard to spoof. Many mail systems will reject mail with FROM headers that don't tie up with either the MX or SPF records on the DNS. But many won't, so it's quite easy to pretend to be someone else.
