Loads of people do - look at Demon Tweeks, Euro Car Parts etc etc. That or Google for w209 springs and alot will come up. Just bought some for the W208 work hack.

I don`t think they do them for the 55, everything else but! I have tried, hence my post on here as a last resort before going to Sheffield.

At last count, Sheffield still has some spring manufacturers in business. The lowering springs are most needed as the car has risen almost 20mm due to the removal of the standard carpet, insulation and seats. Yes they do weigh ALOT. These interior items will be available to purchase soon, as I can`t see them ever going back in, well not by me anyway!

Hi 2skiddy,

Listening to your interesting chat about making a track car of your CLK55....

And my ears pricked up at the mention of you disposing of your interior.

I am looking for a black leather coupe interior and if yours is such and you desire to unload it I will be interested in chatting.

Ta!

Hi,

Do the seats have heat?

Are you selling the door cards? - Not a great problem TBH

Not sure about the seats being heated. The buttons are in the car but the fuses were not present? Keeping the door cards on for the time being due to air bags etc.

Hi,

Thanks for the info - I am interested in learning more.

If you can send me more information about condition, pictures and the price you put on the seats, I would be most grateful.

My address is baron_lakwa(at)yahoo.co.uk

I'm watching this with great interest 2skiddy... I can't wait to see a fully track prepped 55 - it’s going to be awesome! (I hope you are keeping a picture diary so we can see progress).

I have a couple of photos, but not sure if I can load on here? Work is ongoing and I have fitted a pair of Cobra Imola 2 bucket seats, alloy chequer plate for the front floors as there is no carpet, but keeping the standard belts for ease of use. Enjoying the project so far as I am doing it on a budget so as not to lose too much more money.
Cheers, Jon

Springs are now on and it`s looking just right. Drop of 30mm but it went up about 15mm after I took the interior out. So it sits slightly lower than standard. The springs are H&R from CKS performance. Interior now for sale! Another trackday awaits!
