Any forces chaps in today - question

Does anyone know whether the THE WORKPLACE (HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE) REGULATIONS 1992 apply on a MoD site. I know there are some exceptions with regards to equipment, i.e. ships and planes, but what about MoD sites?

Not sure on seperate MOD sites but I know that H&S, COSH etc... is taken very seriously at barracks and workshops.

I'm a civvy on an Army base and H&S is taken very seriously (even down to showing us films about guns and telling us they may harm you!).

Yes. We are overly strict on H&S.

I completed 'Managing Health and Safety' a couple of years back.

We have a H&S Dept on Stn that are constantly poking there noses in!!

All electrical equipment is PAT tested......oils, glues, etc are all COSH categorised etc etc

they were just implementing it at tidowrth garrison when i left.....in that case they must have shut the whole st heap down..
