having never been invited in for coffee, (more of a tea man myself) I've always been perplexed by this unique phenomina - isn't it just code for "lets get it on?"

or is it really just coffee?

You don't have a red light.
But it's still only amber at best - do not assume you have a green.

It's a kind of drink made by adding hot water to the beans of the coffee tree. Popular amongst muslims, less so amongst mormons.

Depends what time of the day it is, but whenever I had such an offer it was for a shag.
I guess when they really DO want to share a cup of coffee with you, they suggest it is in a public place and you are paying...

She's being kind and offering you a drink of coffee.

Further offers may or may not be forthcoming if you accept the coffee. But if you don't accept the coffee you will never know.

You can't assume. But you can do you best to be really, really charming.

Yeah it's a flashing amber, I'd have to agree.
It certainly does not mean you should get your kit off and start pounding your hairy chest whilst shaking your nutsack inches away from her face...
