Insurance probably won't pay out in a case like that. Still, I am sure he can afford it!
Apparently his comments were just that - and then he was told how if there had been a big accident he could be culpable for having knowingly left the keys in. every one is lucky that no one was injured or seriously hurt. How stupid are footballers - seriously though - does this lad not have a brain. does he need someone to hold his hand in life?

I think the guy that stole the car should be more worthy of being judged than the F430 owner. Not everyone in life has been jaded at such age that they realise that there is scum out there that can't be trusted. Everyone makes mistakes and forgets things. We don't all steal Ferraris. Has the car been recovered??...

I'm just waiting for another report/eye witness to really make my day and say something like "his WAG was actually present in the car at the time but was so hopelessly dim, that she failed to notice it wasn't her boyfriend/husband [delete as appropriate]"
On a serious note, shirly any insurance underwriter worth their salt would refuse to insure him for a goodly while, based upon his negligance?

Are we not all being somewhat guilty of the 'British Disease' mentality? "...Rich footballler doesn't deserve sh|t"
Yes, I totally agree that it was indeed monumentally dumb / naive in today's society to leave his keys in the car...
However, how many of us have had similar reactions from the "success hating British public" for simply owning our cars?
All humour / banter aside, at the end of the day this is the action of a thieving chav scumwad!

Yes - probably not true.
But as long as it wiped the moronic grin from his stupid face I'm all in favour of it.
To be fair the bladder kicker probably got lost as soon as the word culpable was introduced into the sentence.
I am pretty sure that was the idea. apparently he was a right toolBut as long as it wiped the moronic grin from his stupid face I'm all in favour of it.

My mate was one of the police involved in trying to stop this Ferrari - apparently the guys comments were basically that he would just buy another - apprently it was pointed out how stupid he was.
If he has such a relaxed approach, won't this cost the tax payer more? It'll likely happen again, resulting in related police/legal system costs...evil_dr_fish said:

don't get me wrong, I happily bring back hanging and car thieves would be first in a long line (and rope would not cost as much of our taxpayers £ as prison)but I also get annoyed at idiots who wrack up insurance claims or incidents through sheer stupidity - then makes insurance for everyone more expensive
