My 2002, V70 T5 needs new rear brake shoes and pads. Volvo main dealers are asking £100 for the set, which sounds extortionate. Any recommendations?

You will get the best deals on these from either a Volvo dealer presently or from Braydon Motor Company on 0208 985 2255.

Volvo dealers have some quite astonishingly good deals on faster moving items these days, partly to recover business from such as have already been mentioned.

Some websites associated with Volvo aftermarket traders falsly state the cost of Genuine Volvo parts to mislead potential customers into buying pattern parts at prices higher that you can purchase the genuine stuff.

When you have a minute take a look in at www.t5d5.org the meeting place for the best informed and sharpest minds in the Volvo owning and tuning community.

Regards, Don.

I've found Lockheed to be the best - they're not the cheapest but they are very very good and wear well - Ferodo are good too but they tend to squeal a bit for my liking
