A4 in the workshop that's going to have a bill for a number of drill bits, a blow torch and a new wheel.

Tyre fitter had over torqued it and destroyed the pattern on the bolt! irked

Really feel for the poor chap whose car it is frown

I found a nice trick to undoing them when I had the same problem with an A6... not for telling on a public forum though

depending on the type you can hammer a socket that is just smaller on nice and tight and get it off that way, if not then get a socket extension bar and weld it on to the bolt, wait for it to cool and take it off, then cut/grind the bolt off and start again, much easier than the above, and more importantly, much cheaper, hth in future, been there my self

That reminds me, I haven't checked the torque on my wheel nuts since I visited the local tyre fitter last week - must do tomorrow.

Although I did watch as the gunned the normal bolts up and then just did the locking nuts by hand with a small bar.
