Import car, 2.0 turbo 1992 water pump problem, how do I go about changing it over please?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Just changed one on my Toyota Caldina (3s-gte powered 4wd avensis estate)

its a royal pita in a front engined car I can only imagine its going to be a mare in a midship like yours.

also whilst your in there do the cambelt too and do not reuse the hydraulic tensioner have heard to many stories of these failing a short time later if reused also change the idler pulley and tensioner pulley.

these guys are good for parts prices are good and service is brilliant.

Yes, changing the cambelt is a bit of an arse on the MR2, had mine done this weekend. Changing the parts is pretty easy, its getting access that is the problem.

You'll have to remove the covers for the timing belt, which involves supporting the engine and removing the drivers side engine mount, then jacking the engine up and down to get the mount out past the engine through the top.
