Started to get some rust bubbles at the bottom rear of the front wings frown

I can either have this repaired, rust-proofed and filled... or can pop a couple of replacements on there. I'd rather it was all metal rather than filler, but Jaguar Parts want £308 + VAT for EACH wing! hehe

Where is the best place to get some decent used items? Or even pattern wings if they are a good fit/quality.

I think they are the same as the normal XJ wings (2000 W X300) but not sure if the XJR ones were slightly beefier etc confused

Thanks thumbup

It's going in for a tidy up before summer, getting all the chips etc sorted out cool

Definately can't just rub them down eh?

Look for people breaking cars on eBay and call them is what I normally do. Don't be afraid to haggle a little if you think it's over-priced.

I've seen them as low as £80 without postage. Might be worth paying more for a similar colour though.

I've always found Graham Hallett at Grublogger most helpful.

There's also companies like JoJags and JustJags too but have limited experince of them.

Hi guys,

Just pondering the practicalities of swooping my rusted and damaged X308 wing for a second hand one of the same colour.

Firstly, how easy is the job and secondly, will things like the colour and coachline look reasonable.

Any thoughts?

Depends on the individual panel really mate. If you can find one of the same colour, go and see how well it matches.

Paint changes over time dependent on age, exposure to sunlight, water, contaminants, how well it has been protected etc. You might luck out and get a good match though if you are lucky smile
