OK, so after checking every couple of days on their website in anticipation of release details it was finally released this week. AED2500 for the 8gb with a AED199 month fee for the most basic package.
Anyone think this is a rip off? Factory unlocked ones can be had from Plug Ins for AED2200 or Sharafs for AED2400. During DSF it was even cheaper.
Problem is that the unlocked ones will not come with a warranty and I understand that they can "lock up" again if you update the firmware. I dont want to end up with an expensive brick.
I am not keen to go down the Etisalat route and get a sim locked phone for 12 months if there are cheaper and more flexible unlocked ones about which wont relock - anyone got any views to share?
