creamy oil filler cap
Discussion
Evening chaps, thanks for the advise,i checked the breather pipes today and there was quite a bit of gunk in there so ive cleaned them out.I have been doing a few short trips lately, will have to start taking the long way to work!
BTW i only had the oil changed 2 weeks/200 miles ago, changed the turbo/coolant hoses aswell as they were a bit drippy
got a rolling road session booked tomorrow see if she's running how she should, been cutting out at roundabouts/junctions........

Hi Mr manners ....i think this is a pretty major issue as all the crap in that tank flows straight into the sump !!! get in on the group buy for a new alloy tank QUICK !!!!! this will sort out the problem . remember the biggest problem with the steel tank is it rusts !!! inside .
put my name down, hope i'm not too late...cheers simon

Hi did you check the steel oil breather tanks ?? mine was full of crap !!
Hi Simon, yeah mine are full of it too,how did you clean those?
. Grrrr! If the tank is rusty inside i would NOT use it !!! unless you put a filter in the return to the sump .
i have cleaned all my pipes by washing the in petrol then blowing through with airline ,i have also dropped a small piece of string through them tied a small piece of cloth and pulled it through (soaked in petrol ) . simon
