Yes folks I'm another statistic - I have been made redundant.

I will be rebuilding the engine over the next few weeks (pretty much all thats left to do really apart from minor bits and bobs) and once it has an MOT it will be up for sale.
The dilemma I have is whats it worth?
I have no idea and I know even though I've spent an absolute fortune I will only recover a fraction of that back.

It will be the only S in the world with power steering!

I'm going to go and cry in the garage now weeping

Have a read of these 2 threads for the full history

frown Sorry to hear that Barky.

Get some pics and the spec up - might help people give you an idea. Hope something turns up before you have to sell.

Chris really bad news. I hope something turns up and you won't have to let her go. Will you make SCH?

That's a miserable piece of news, hopefully you'll find something else before too long. Good luck with your search.

After all the work you've put in to your car it would be a crying shame for that to have to go. You'll need some time to consider all the options so don't do anything hasty. I'm sure you'll be at SCH in an S, with luck it will be your one.

I can't be the only one thinking you are due a change in fortune!

If you had the ability to manufacture the chassis you could stick a body on it that looks a bit like a child's drawing of a V8S and call it the Bark Wildcat maybe? hehe

Chris I'm sure there are plenty of people on this forum that are looking for a chassis refurb or outrigger replacement, I suppose the challenge is how to turn it into a business.

Really sorry to hear this, Chris. You've not had much luck by the sound of it. Hope you find a way to keep the S after all the time and effort you've put in.

Chris, as others have said this is really miserable news.
Keep your chin up. Redundancy is not the end of the world, it just presents new challenges. Whilst the shock of the news is still with you don't make any rash decisions.

Best wishes
Tim

I would really hate to see you sell after all you've been through.

I hope you don't have to sell.

What a bugger been made redundant a couple of times my self and its worked out OK, keep your chin up. Try to keep the S if you can, you'll kick yourself later after all that work. You have helped to encourage loads 'a people here and the knowledge in your head is invaluable.

Realy hope you can sort something out soon, "BarkyChoc Motors Bespoke Restorers for the Gentry" perhaps
