Not sure if this has been done before and can't be spaffed to look.

So what song would you have at your funeral? A song that somes up your life? One to make people blub (more), one to raise a smile?

My dad wants 'another one bites the dust' by Queen, I told him he is a sicko but it would raise a smile am sure.

I would have either:
Nothing else matters - Metallica
Or
obla di obla da - Beatles

During my cremation I'd like Johnny Cash "Ring of fire".

But failing that Pink floyd "Shine on you crazy diamond". Make the bds sit there for 15 minutes.

'Where Were You?' by Jeff Beck.

Or possibly 'Stairway To Heaven' by Led Zeppelin, the whole lot playing underneath the service, with the moment the coffin disappears into the furnace timed to coincide with the heavier guitar and Robert Plant singing 'And as we wind on down that road/Our shadows taller than our souls'.

A colleague of mine was at a funeral recently where The Birdie Song was played as his coffin disappeared.

Consideration by Reef.

Can't think of a better song to bow out to.

The other option was Promises by Megadeth. But Reef wins by a mile. Do you think it'll wierd out my parents if I mention it? I'm 24 and not due to pop my clogs for at least 5 years or so.
