2.4 JTDM 159 Reliability?

How reliable are the 159 2.4's?

are they economical and good to drive? I am going to look at one tomorrow but as this car will be doing 30k miles a year and I need a dependable car is that what I'll get?

reliability is good but expect low 30s for mpg

I've had no issues with my 2.4 JTD (same engine but in a Brera, not 159). I know there have been some issues with the DPFs not cleaning properly but that seems to be on cars which are pottered around and not given a good blast. Downside as mentioned above is poor economy - ironically caused by the DPFs which are there to save the environment!

Damn what a sexy car that is and its an estate! red 159 08 2.4 sportwgon lusso why on earth would anybody not buy one! except for the same reasons I had to pass today.
It was just out of reach and I had my sensible head on but I've been in a mood all day.

These things are gorgeous.

Have only heard good things about the 159 in general, and also the 2.4D engine, although apparently they are as thirsty as everyone suggests.

3.2 V6 4WD, Q-Tronic Gearbox. Goes like a dream and handles like a dream. Have driven the 2.4D engines cars, but as soon as this 3.2 V6 Ti came up I was hooked.

Wednesday will probably be the first time I have smiled getting into my own car since I sold my Maserati in the summer.

Can't wait.
