I'm off down to see a friend on Friday night and cheer him up after a messy relationship, he lives near flitwick?

Is there anywhere decent to go out on the night? Also any car related activities on the sat? Car dealers etc?

What sort of thing do you want for the night out? Pub? Meal? Club?

Probably just a decent chinky/indian and a late bar/club?

Any suggestions?

Quite a few good pubs near to Flitwick, Jolly Coopers on the way to Silsoe and the Star in Silsoe spring to mind (although it has been a good few years since I lived in Silsoe). Decent take away curry in Flitwick and Chinese for that matter but not sure about eat ins.

I'd recommend The Sizzling Wok, Mongolian restaurant on Broadway.

"Bedford" + "good to go" = "does not compute"

It's a complete dump.

Get real, it's no more of a dump than other places, all large towns have good and bad areas.

Carrington Arms near MK. Just a couple of junctions up the M1. Best steak in the UK (have the Bourbon marinated one)

That's not exactly near. wink

Out of the Sizzling Wok, turn left then there are about a dozen bars and pubs to choose from.

Cheers mate.

I aim to upload photos of a very embarrassed looking friend when I drop him in to the first group of scantily clad ladies!

Pop up to Newport Pagnell for a mooch about Aston Martin???
There's not normally many cars parked outside AM these days, you might be better off ringing first to see if they're there on Saturdays and will let you have a look around. http://www.astonmartin.com/eng/contactus/howtofind...

Otherwise Gaydon is worth a visit http://www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk/pages/visit...
