It is my final day working for this company as I join the redundancy statistics... It's been a long journey as I've been with the company for over 10 years. Luckily I am a survivor and will keep on going. Oh and I'm really looking forward to tonight.... drink

Good luck with finding a new job and have a good evening. You do sound quite chipper about it all though.

I'm guessing with 10 years service he's sitting on a fat payoff, so there is a cushion to land on for a while.

Good luck OP.

I'd watch your back. I thought people in your line of work didn't get to walk away quietly?

Ah I've been there before and currently.

Keep yourself occupied it is amazing how I can just waste a day on the computer doing relatively nothing.

Sometimes I even wished I had a job (assuming I could still get up at 9:30).

Best of luck. After joining the ranks in November I start a new position on Tuesday.

If this experience has taught me anything (apart from going major right wing), then it is to have a decent contingency fund for when this happens again in how ever many years.

I hope you enjoy your time off like I did and don't watch any daytime TV!!!
