Am I missing something - this looks really cheap for a S160?

I think this car has been discussed before, and IIRC the 'one previous owner' was a track experience company, so it has been very well used and is cosmetically a bit tired. But to be fair I think it was also said that if it has been well maintained, no reason why it would not make a good track tool for someone at the right price.

I'd want a good checkover by an independent before I agreed a price.

If it's a bit tired bodywork/interior wise, I guess you can live with that, and it's not expensive to have the inside refreshed (think a few hundred).

I'd be more interested in:
- service history, especially oil changes
- tyre state
- exhaust system age and condition
- suspension age and condition
- wheel bearings, toe links etc. age and condition
- brakes age and condition

Therein lie the big bills.

From the state of the heatshield and header tank, it looks like that car has spent it's life HOT.

Like all Sport 160's. If it's been a trackslag then that won't help either.

Nope, not really. Unless the mechanicals are in tip-top condition.
