London Jazz Cafes & Podcasts

This didn't get any response in the music forum so I thought I'd give it a go in here.

Firstly, I know there's the Jazz clubs, Ronnie Scotts et al, but are there any smaller Jazz cafes in London that are more informal that you can just turn up for a few drinks etc and are open earlier in the evenings? I've yet to find anywhere decent!

Also, can anyone recommend any more Jazz podcasts other than the usual BBC R3 etc?

I'm probably about as big a jazz fan as you'll find, but don't know London very well unfortunately. And I don't listen to podcasts, so I won't be much help!
