I posted on the fcars forum a few days ago that I was having a problem with the ventilation flap on the 355 and asked in the tech section how to fix it.

Today I get an unprompted phone call from Karl at Verdi's saying "Hi, about the flap, this is the likely problem and this is how to solve it."

Say what you like about them, that's pretty exceptional service I think...

Respect! smile

I've had simiarly helpful calls from Roberto at Grimaldo and Mike Pullen, both times, potentially 'doing themselves out of a job'...

Always nice to have something positive to say smile

That was me smile

My F355 was "immobilised" in my garage and before having all the expensive bits looked into I thought I would chance my arm and phone Verdi to see if they could give me any place to start with. Karl talked me through a few simple checks which got everything up and running and advised how to stop it happening again. Top bloke indeed.

Chaps - please give it a rest.

It is hard enough to get a slot with these guys - they are always so damn busy!!

On a serious note, they have always done well by me.

Thumbs up.

^^^ ditto re: roberto grimaldi
Always helpful, even if it does himslef out a some work. But I'll always go back there.
Think it's called "pay it forward" in the USA and decent people giving old fashioned customer service over here.

I dropped in last Monday on my way to Heathrow to look at a 550. He insisted that I took it for a drive even though i told him that i didn't think that particular car was the one for me.

Good guy indeed and I was further impressed to realise that he was a fully fledged spanner man and flies all around the world servicing customers' cars.
