I like that, last years looked too similar to the BMW livery they had when they used the engines.

Will also work better at distance to distinguish the cars from the BMWs.

Apart from Lenovo I can't think of any other major sponsor they have lost to leave all that blank area.

RBS are honouring their contract and leaving at the end of the 2010 season.

Those 'cockpit sails' are hideous and against the spirit of the new cleaner cars if you ask me. I hope we're not on a slippery slope back to winglets and all sorts of bits hanging off the cars.

Confusion because i didn't know they were honoring the contract and I did know RBS were in the s**t.

I believe Lenovo has gone to mclaren-mercedes

That's right.

I've looked at last years car and the tiny AT&T (odd for lead sponsor) logos are on the front wings and still there. It's Petrobras that's missing from the side of the nose area.

There are small AT&T logos on the front wing.

Remeber they have also lost Petrobras which explains the empty space in front of the sidepods.

That looks like a 2008 rear wing to me. Maybe they haven't made enough of the new ones yet to put one on the show car

Indeed and wouldn't that be refreshing - F1 cars with fewer sponsors logos all over them!

i'm glad to see they have crash protection against pigeons flying sideways into the drivers head when stationary. it's a clear blind spot that the driver is powerless against.

i also wondered, is it not better to make the sponsors logo's bigger rather than having loads of empty space on the car? might tempt other sponsors on board too knowing they'll have a nice big sticker for everyone to see
