Dyeing carpets and re-pairing your leather!

I know this was sort of covered some time ago, as I looked it up on here and found the contact [ thanks to the OP ]
I went to Smart Express today in Portsmouth with the Tuscan [beautiful roof down day!! And it was +13 ! ] to buy some carpet dye, and whilst I was there I saw they did a leather repair paint, so as the side parts [ Bolsters?? ] on the seats, particularly the drivers side were a bit scuffed, I asked them for a leather paint to match. They got this gadget out, that looked like a portable CC machine, and placed it on the seat to take photo’s. The carpet dye, 2 x spaying tins, additives, cleaner, primer stuff, and leather paint, all you need came to £63.
The spaying tins I would bin, they are a bit crap, so I used my spray gun to apply on very low pressure to spray on the water based carpet dye. As my carpets [ Navy blue ]were quite faded, the result is great, not entirely the original colour, but a huge improvement.
The real surprise was the leather paint, I followed the precise application instructions, and the results are fantastic, like new, well almost!. It does not take long to dry either.
I will see how it lasts, and report back, only if it disappoints.
If any of you do this, I would thoroughly recommend a spray gun, or air brush to apply.
The inside of my car is now vastly improved.

Do you know how much the leather paint was on its own (I've done my carpets...)

About £20. That would be enough to paint 4 bolsters i reckon.

Any before and after photos. Would like to chance my interior colour but not sure I'm brave enough.

Assuming it would be risky with a mix of vynel (spelling) and leather that they could all go different colours.

No, sorry, did not think to take pickies before, but the carpets were well faded in the "sunny" areas.
So long as you take your seats to be photo'd for the leather paint mix, i cannot see there being a problem.
I am well pleased with mine.
