Well am soon to be 35, and my best mate has decided that she's taking me away for a weekend. And instead of heading South, we thought we'd go North for a change.

Aberdeen it is then, but can anyone recommend a decent hotel. Nothing too fancy, but nothing too dodgy either.

Thanks biggrin
Penny

Atholl, no idea of rates, failing that, had friends stay in the Holiday Inn Express on Chapel Street and they've lived to tell the tale.

Ardo House is nice, we bit out of the centre though.

Malmaison, seriously! Top quality hotel but book at the last minute and you can get amazing deals. We stayed there for a sat night a few weeks back for £120 b&b. Was great.

I have heard that the Carmalite (sp) is quite good.

You could try the Micasa Luxury serviced apartments which have not long opened, very reasonable rates (starting from £80), the accommodation is first class and its slap bang in the city centre.

I stayed there a month or so ago and was extremely impressed.

I'm going up soon with my OH for the weekend, staying at the Doubletree Hilton near the city centre. Any comments about that?

ie. Should I cancel now?

Never heard of it, unless they've renamed the Treetops. Springfield Road?
