Replaceing downpipe with precats on 3.2 xj6 x300
Discussion
Hi
Anyone with Jag service exprience ? I`m trying to replace downpipe. I thought I`ll take it out with the manifolds but steering in blocking it. Are there any tricks other them separeting downpipe from manifolds ? I`ll go and buy extension shall i get anything else (flexi joint etc ?)
Thanks
Andy

I could manage to get to all but one of the bolts on the manifold downpipe flange of my DB7 with a similar 3.2 engine
In the end I had to get a couple of knuckle joints with two extensions and with the aid of a friend hold everything in place while I turned the ratchet.
Hope this helps

Ok
I`ve done everything from underneath of the car. The problem is the aftermarket front pipe is badly manufactured. Take a look :

before i noticed that it`s hunging low i had to cut lifting ear on the engine because lambda sensor didn`t fit.

Anyone had similar problems wth this part?
