Hi all,

A few pictures of the new motor which I picked up last weekend after an epic 950 mile Glasgow to Canterbury round trip!

Gone through 4 tanks of shell's finest already biggrin

Opinions/thoughts welcome.

Couldn't have done 900 miles in those seats myself, but well done it looks tidy!

Cheers.

Standard sports seats aren't too bad mate. Tempted by the JCW recaros but at 1800 quid i'll be looking elsewhere!

When you try the r56 seats you will think otherwise!

Still, if you are happy that is all that matters!

Quite a difference? Do you have any shots of the seats in your jcw?

The garage I bought the car from had a red 08 factory works in the other day. Very nice car.

Good to hear. What did you end up replacing it with?

Mine has a STD leather punch interior, as I didn't want buckets, and thought the lounge was just that, no support at all.

Like these!

I was forced into a company car, 320d coupe and now a 525 d which i am enjoying but i do miss the whine of the charger and the almost limitless cornering ability biggrin

Lovely looking Mini, I miss mine sooo much!! You will never ever tire of that noise from the s/c and the handling is amazing! As for the seats I covered 22,000 miles in mine in just under 12 months, never had any complaints with the seats. The Astra sporthatch I'm driving now is a totally different story, the seats are appauling and my back is not what it used to be!

One thing though, the pic next to the "your Mini adventure starts here" sign, the suspension looks very high, from what i remember mine sat alot lower than that on a standard setup.

If your looking to do any mods I can highly recommend GTT, I had a reduced s/c pulley fitted and a JCW airfilter, made a hell of a difference to the noise and the performance! Had it rolling roaded soon after and it made 193bhp!

PS, best colour as well, get some black stripes for the bonnet and chrome mirror covers, they really set it off.

Cheers. I've got some plans for subtle upgrades in the future but its only just turned 7k miles so i'll enjoy it as standard for a bit.

Think that picture is on a slope hence the 4x4 suspension!

Can you remember roughly what your upgrades cost? I've heard great results from pulley and manifold upgrades.

I know what you mean! The lsd makes a big difference too. Especially useful as my commute to work is 50 miles of mountain b-road biggrin

8 grand? I've heard that a smaller pulley, colder plugs and a new manifold take it up to circa 225hp for £1k at gtt/1320/etc.

What garage do you work for?
