Just had a set of their FF dampers (Caterham 7 fitting) pass through my hands and I have to say they screamed quality.

I also have one of their dampers in bits in front of me as I type, from an engineering perspective they really are good bits of kit. Got it to do some research on the shim valves on the piston. But I can't speak from experience of having them on a vehicle.... yet.

They were an option on Dallara F3 cars for a while (still are?), and although expensive I gather they were pretty good and built very well. I believe they have also been used in F1 cars. You can probably get them valved to suit your application too. But are they 'better' than Koni or any of the others? Who knows!?

I also think there is some link between the guy who set up Quantum and other damper manufacturers, but I can't remember the story.

I think the guy who set up Quantum used to be a F1 engineer, was reading up about them after seeing them on an MCR sports 2000 car.
