Been out in the Tiv today, had to, tax runs out tomorrow & MOT. frown

I've come to the conclusion that accelerating hard in 1st in a SEAC is fairly pointless, nothing happens..unless you need a smoke screen! hehe
A chav in a Clio gets off the line faster. There is a definite technique to flooring a SEAC, namely get to 2nd.. or even 3rd as quick as poss!
Love it!!

Had a tussle with a Sierra Saph Cossie today, he was nailed to my ass in fairly heavy slow traffic. I was heading for the A1M, and the slip road was ahead. Mr Cossie was still there..glued to my butt-ocks.
As i got onto the slip road..i floored it..Wooohhhhooooo. 1st time i have properly 'gunned' my Tiv. The noise was, well....bloody epic!! Could i hear Cossie dude? Nope. Could i see Cossie dude, nope..he was a diminishing white dot.
I eased off when i joined the A1M, Mr sensible me. It was then that the Cosworth came past, dumpvalve a chuffing, so i slipped in behind him.
He proceeded to floor it..predictably. So i joined him, many leptons collected. He got nowhere, i found i had to ease off a little as i was going to hit him!
Anyway, it got a bit silly, so i eased off, but Cossie man kept his foot in.

I don't know what the bhp would have been, but whatever it was..it wasn't enough. biggrin

I also learnt something from this.. that is.. a 19 year old 450 SEAC is still a fast car! Fantastic yes

Nice afternoon for a serious blast down the Gt. Glen bypass today , one or two other sports cars enjoying a fast road including an slk with roof down .

Well, I too was out 'making progress' around the fabulous driving roads in N.Yorks.

The harder I push her, the better she gets. smile

What I like is when someone is obviously trying to keep you behind them, thinks they're doing great, when suddenly on the next safe bit you just drop a cog, and show what a monster sounds like....and goes like. biglaugh
