Rear Screen Quote

I've just been quoted £150 to have my rear screen replaced.

I thought that was rather good !!!!!



Have to wait and see what the quality is like now, although chap seemed knowledgable and claimed to have done a couple of Tivs before, although nothing more modern than a Wedge.

Check your insurance policy before you part with your hard earned. Some windscreen cover also includes the rear screen. You just pay the excess.

Already have done, the rear screen is not covered on the windscreen policy but on the main policy which has an excess of £100 and it would be classed as a claim.

So for the sake of an extra £50.

£150 seems about right, the previous owner of mine paid G&M that for a new screen after someone put their had through it - doh

But I got brand new screen for when I picked ip up

Sorry to resurrect this chaps, but after some up to date info; anyone had a screen done in London or any of the home counties to the west (e.g. Surrey, Berks) recently, and at what cost? Some leads to call would be great...

Not used him myself but AJ Trimming in Bourne End does screens and hoods as well as trim. He was recommended by the Berks TVRCC RO he advertises in the back of Sprint.

I did ask him about mine and he said he could try but that he had to remove the hood from the hoop to get it under the sewing machine and that it was likely to tear the material because they go brittle after a while.

However he did also quote me £450 to make up and fit a complete new hood.
