in a quest to make my Noble more efficient at managing its heat the first area is the exhaust system ,the wrapping had all fallen off (so much for full service history) and generally it was in a very poor state with both a loose turbo and a loose manifold ,this ment the hole lot had to come off and be sorted .

i have seen work done by pete at Camcoat and the Ultima lads spoke very highly of the ceramic coating that he does ,the Ultima factory uses his coating on there GTR 720 exhaust system so i decided the first step was to get it all coated .

the exhaust manifolds were to be coated inside and out ,down pipe's with cats outside only and the rest of the sysrem both inside and out ,this improves the flow of the gases and keeps heat inside the exhaust ,
After the big issue of heat soak with intercooler i decided to get the rear box done as well .
Having got all the system back yesterday i,m stunned by the quality and cannot wait to get it all refitted . simon

Do your manifolds show sign's of welding repairs? As they were off (bit late now they coated) you could have strenghtened them.

Nice job but that "Y" section is going to rob you of lots of power, while your at this stage you could look at a dual circuit exhaust (you will do this later)and a re-map and liberate the extra ponies without major mods.
there's plenty of people out there apart from Roush / Piper that can make a system for you, I had a quote from H&W for about £800 fitted.

Hi,

Any chance you could PM me the cost for this and contact details. I have a 2.5 and I have a 3ltr exhaust sitting here ready to go in soon. Wouldn't mind knowing what you have done to strengthen the manifolds?

Thanks

Bondy

They look fantastic Simon, apart from solving some of the heat issues they are going to really tidy up your engine bay. Great work (ps getting a bit jealous now as ive had no spare time to sort mine out as yet, been too busy decorating boo hoo!) :^(
