It's that time of year again and would you believe it, my Tesco renewal came through £300.00 dearer than last years policy. That's £2,246.00 last year and despite no claims, points or moving house that's jumped up to over £2.5k, little beggars...

On word of advice from another PH post, I checked out a like-for-like policy with Bell and it's come in at a shade over £1.3k, also I can ditch my tracker as Bell don't insist upon it, unlike Tesco.

Anyone had any good/bad experiences with Bell?

Crikey you are either 14 years old or live in Liverpool?

Oh serious tip - try greenlight.

Your insurance is silly money!

Bell are a great company, took care of an accident I had in 2007 where a third party hit me, organised a good hire car and took care of arranging repairs within 2 days of the accident. From your previous quote it sounds like you're in you early 20's? If so the best companies are Bell, Admiral and Elephant.

Hi, spent 7/8 years with Bell covering TVRs, E46 M3 & now E92 M3. However, renewal on E92 M3 came in at £626. Tried Elephant and on line quote with no tracker came in at £533. Phonecall from Elephant 2 days later, and gave it to me for £427 if I signed up there and then which I did. That quote included all the same as Bell but with improved guaranteed no claims as I had 10 years.

Oh and meant to say, all the more confusing as I think Bell, Admiral and Elephant are all sister companies as when I sent prrof of my no claims to Elephant, it was the same address as Bell.

You mean you got your last set of points four years ago? I thought you could have them removed after three years - I'd be inclined to do that if you can - it'll probably save you more in insurance than it costs to have them wiped-off.

£350 with More Than or £470 with LV...I went with LV after several peeps reported bad experiences with More Than.

Having never had points on my licence I can honestly say that I don't understand a word of that sentence!

Call A-Plan, they will haggle with all the big lenders for you to get you a decent price.

I was with Liverpool Victoria and the renewal was £900, A-Plan got it down to £520, again with LV.

Well worth a call.

A-Plan are good. I'm amazed at your quote tho' as my Boxster 987 was around £700 parked in the street in a part of london where no company would give me cover on a Honda CBR600 unless it was garaged.

I was in my early 40s tho'.

When I was 26 I was driving old bangers with the odd new bike, so you are doing well.

Cant understand that level of premium! I pay £700 for a Z4M parked on the driveway in an auto crime hotspot.
