Can someone confirm, that the folowing pics are showing the old design of the Speed Six oil pressure switch, the part with the black cap upside down? It is installed in a Cerbera.

Is the following the correct replacement, even if the electrical connection looks diferent?

Best regards,
Björn.

I'm no export on the S6 but looking at the first pics it does look like an oil pressure "switch" to me.

That item I believe is the switch for the red light with the line then continuing to the gauge in the dash.

The last pic you have is the variable pressure sensor for the Tuscan dashboards. I think, I would double check this though.

From non-TVR experience, that pressure sender you posted at the end: one post will be a variable signal which tells the gauge the pressure, and another one is for the low pressure warning light, and will be configured to go 'live' at X PSI.

Could well be wrong but I always thought the oil gauges were capillary, in which case that sender won't help you much.

That is what clever Trevor says:

http://www.tvrspareparts.com/part/151/oil-pressure...

It also states, that this part replaces E6588, which could be the part that is installed right now, if only i had a picture to compare.

The pressure for the instrument should be capillary, that is correct. But what about the ECU?

Sounds like it is the right one then.

Are there 2 wires on you current sensor? I can;t see from the picture.

Yes, one brown, one white.

Regarding the technical documents from the forum, this is the same colour, as the oil pressure warning light wiring has.

So from that point it´s the only possibilitys, it just looks so different. As long as it does the same thing...

2 wires would suggest a sender rather than a NO/NC switch.

Sounds like it's the right one. Quick call or email to CT should sort it though.
