Finding a good Oracle Financials/ERP Manager

We currently find ourselves requiring someone to manage our ERP team.
Without going into specifics, we've got to make a lot of potentially expensive decisions at the moment and so therefore need to find someone who's going to be extremely capable.
I've helped recruit IT staff for many years and despite it being a minefield, I am pretty confident in being able to identify good candidates.
However, I'm less confident of being able to quickly determine how good someone is in this field.
So, the question is, how do I go about finding someone? Despite the current economic conditions, I don't have any contacts who are able to recommend someone suitable (which I find is usually the best way of reducing risk). Are they any specialist web sites/recruitment agencies that anyone could recommend to help?

Just noticed your thread. I own an IT recrtuitment agency which has a seperate ERP division and therefore I'm sure we could help you.
We have placed a whole Oracle Financials team into Sun Microsystems in the past and recruit for many companies in the UK.
Are you looking for anyone with specific experience of the particular Oracle Financial modules or someone with a all round experience who can manage the team?
