what size are the holes.

im looking to buy a TDC tool and the one I have fouund is 14mm. Will that fit the plug hole?

See my thread - getting the plugs out fom 16.2.09. Not easy - I ended up using a long, slim 10mm socket rather than a specific plug socket as mine didnt fit down the hole.

Spoke to our local dealer - Hexham Horseless carriages - the mechanic has a 'special' ground down socket for the job!

Sorry I don't know the hole size though...it was trial and error for me!

I did browse your topic when it first came out, ive forgoten to check whether my spark plug sockets fit down the hole everytime I go to the garage.

I have some cheapy deep throat sockets so hopefully one will fit down the barrell.

yeah they swallow the long nuts quite nice, theres no need to mess with popping the extention out of the hole see. LOL

14mm diameter will definately fit inot the ressessed plug holes the plugs are 14mm across flats so the actual outside diameter of the socket must be in the region of 19 to 21mm
