If you've got an Elise S2 and have the right brackets and fixings then yes its entirely doable with the clam in place. Just need to remove the grille (obvious) and the indicators. Bit of a fiddle but to be honets the hardest thing was rummaging around to find the plug on the end of the loom. Did just this on my old 190 and it took about 30 minutes start to finish taking my time.
Dunno about the S1 if that is what you have and on an Exige S2 it would require taking the clam off as the grille is bonded in.

There are two brackets that are needed each side. One bolts to the crash structure and the otherbolts to the light. Then the two brackets bolt together and hey presto.
The ones that bolt to the crash structure are part number A117M0074F (if my parts listing is still correct) whch are a flat and line up with the holes already in the crash structure. The others are A117M0075F. You may already have the latter ones as I think these come with the lights when you get them. Te main bracket thing that comes with the lights isn't used. I may be wrong there though. They're quite cheap.
I got mine from my local dealer, just took the lights and brackets I had along with me and then worked out what I needed from looking at their parts list with the parts cap. They're not expensive.
Have fun.

Not sure why you would bother with aux lights as they are pants.
I've had them on both of my elises and the lights were still terrible. They only work on full beam and due to there low postioning just shine down the road.
I have removed them from my current elise and replaced both the dip and main beams with HID's from elise shop. Which looking at the prices will cost you 240 euros. There may be cheaper alternitives on flea bay. Mine have been in the car about 2-3yrs without issue. They look very cool and the improvement in night driving is marked. Recommended.
If you do the aux lights you will also need a new front grill which adds to the cost.

Or just cut the existing one down with a dremel, you only need to cut the ends of two of the horizontal bars to make enough space so you don't affect the structural integrity of the grille. Its what Lotus did on the early cars apparently. If you do the aux lights you will also need a new front grill which adds to the cost.
