Does anyone know anything about the car in the pictures below? Its been parked in front of my office (London, St James area) at least since this morning and apparently the whole weekend. Seems weird that someone has left it there for so long unattended seeing as its a rather special 599! Looks like the batmobile...

Sorry for the rubbish pics, will try to take better ones later.

If it's only been there for the weekend I wouldn't say it's Abandoned really.

Well, it is on single yellow line in Westmister, an area well known for not letting people off on incorrect parking even for 1 minute, so relatively speaking its abandoned (thus also the quotes on the title).

Does it have a flat on the front tyre or is it just the picture?

I saw that car parked outside the Landmark Hotel in Marylebone in almost a year ago! I posted pics here but I can't find the thread now.

In the "big snow" we had a few weeks ago, I was going as fast as felt safe down sloane st in my Jeep, about a ft of snow when that thing passed me at a ridiculous speed. i have seen him tearign about the west end usually accompanied by a smae color/wrapped gemballa Cayenne

Hadn't seen that 599 before but from the comments seems like its owned by someone who doesn't really care too much which probably explains the illegal parking.

I don't think the front is flat although I agree it looks a bit low. The pics make it look worse than it is.

I've added another couple of pics, not much better I am afraid (only have the Blackbery cam available).

Out of interest can someone explain how 599 OO can be a legitmate UK plate? 59 GOO perhaps but then the G would not be a 9 scratchchin Or perhaps SG 900 but that's strecthing the imagination - I can't think of a way it's even a plate let alone legal? confused

Guernsey plate most likely.

599 OO fits one of the old UK formats, there's a wikipaedia article on UK plate formats if you're interested enough to do a search.

Or, you *could* check it here: www.askmid.com

Yup, matching Gemballa Cayenne rocked up eventually and they then both left in a cloud of smoke (well, sort of). 599 exhaust noise very dissapointing considering the looks.

OO was an Essex code I think.
