Afternoon all. Can anyone recommend a suitable track day/afternoon for novices? My wife is a confident road driver but has never been on a track before. A track day isn't something she would choose to spend her own money on but I think she would enjoy it and she would possibly be a bit more understanding when I ask for my next weekend pass to the 'ring etc. I think she would be most concerned about me sitting in the passenger seat barking orders at her so I would like to get an instructor with her for the duration. Any suggestion for midlands/home counties. Easy, friendly, not too intimidating...

Castle Combe was my first and I thought it a very good track to learn on. It's easy to pick up but still offers a challenge for the TD Vet. I've never done a TD at Mallory, but I imagine it would offer a similiar experience to Combe if you/she has a small car.

Hi,

Have you tried looking on the track club website, they have some novice track days on there.

Also some taster days which give you a go on a track day, in their cars, with instructors.

Would be worth having a word with Steve, as he can organise most things.

Site is www.track-club.com

Hope this helps
