Lotus Race ECU for V8 Esprit
Discussion
Not to mention voids your warranty completely and there are mixed reports as to whether or not your air conditioning (for some reason) will function reliably. Don't know for sure about that last bit.
Get the street/torque upgrade instead (if you have not). Much more usable in the real world...

I have had the Race ECU in my 01 Esprit since May 2001...
no problems at all...half shafts fine, the only exhaust mod I did was my own choice of going with straight pipes from the cats back...
No problems with the aircon, works just fine...
As in any Esprit, be careful with the 1st to 2nd shift with the power on, but other than that, the extra kick in the arse is just the dogs balls as far as i am concerned...
recommend it wholeheartedly !
P.S I have heard that this uprates power to anywhere from 425-450 hp. With a K&N filter, straight pipes, plus ECU, the power difference is quite fun !

Have had the race ecu in my 2001 since summer 2001. used judiciously, no problems, huge power, burns vettes, AMG's (have owned two -E55 & C32). Installed K&N filters, Quicksilver exhaust, and 2002 rear light and front spoiler retrofit. Can't find a reason to part with it, too much fun. Treated with TLC and it's a blast.
